The course has two main parts:
 

a)

Written Paper (75% - 2 Hour Exam)
The theory for this is taught throughout Years 10 and 11.  We have split the course into the following 6 modules:
 

YEAR 10

YEAR 11

Module 1: What are Businesses?  

           Module 4: Production

Module 2: Human Resources  

  Module 5: Accounting and Finance

Module 3: Marketing    

 Module 6: The External Environment of Business

At the end of each module students sit a test, which consists of questions from past GCSE examinations.
 

b)

Coursework (25%)
 

This is carried out between the summer term of Year 10 and the Christmas holiday in Year 11.
It requires students to produce a marketing strategy for a new shop.
